Connecting Global Leaders for Food and Agribusiness Transformation
The International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) brings together academia, industry and investors from global agribusiness every year. In 2027 its international conference takes place in Lima, and ACM leads the Peruvian proposal.
After Costa Rica (2022), Argentina (2018) and Brazil (2025), the Peruvian edition brings the IFAMA community closer to Pacific agribusiness: the experience of Peru together with Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador, in a country that multiplied its non-traditional agricultural exports 4.4 times in little more than a decade.
Planned venue: ESAN Convention Center, Lima.
Peru exports out of season, when the northern hemisphere lacks production, and captures better prices for its perishable products.
Proximity to the Equator brings high, consistent vertical radiation that translates into high agricultural yields.
The Chancay mega port cuts the journey to Asia by 10 to 12 days. Peru is a member of the Pacific Alliance and APEC.
A network of free trade agreements covering close to 80 % of world GDP, with investment grade and one of the lowest country risks in the region.
Ica, Chavimochic, Olmos and Piura: agroexport hubs with qualified technical staff and large irrigation projects still to be developed.
Host of APEC (2008, 2016 and 2024), COP20 and the 2019 Pan American Games, and a gastronomic capital recognised worldwide.
