He holds an MS and PhD in Agricultural Sciences (North Carolina State University, USA) and an MBA in Agribusiness and Food Industries (Purdue University, USA, and Wageningen Universiteit, the Netherlands).

He holds an MS in Agronomy and Agri-food Development (École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Agricoles et Alimentaires, Toulouse, France) and a Diploma in Senior Management (IPADE, Mexico).

He holds an MS in Finance from Universidad del Pacífico (Robert Maes Award) and a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School. He is certified in Risk Management (CRM), agile methodologies (SCRUM), as a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and in ESG Investing (CFA Institute). He has taught finance and valuation at Universidad del Pacífico, UNI and UDEP, and for KPMG, LXG Capital, BCRP and IDB Invest.

He has been Commercial Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, Cirio De Rica and Del Monte Foods (Italy), General Manager of Agro Amalia (Brazil), CEO of Del Monte Pacific Ltd. (Philippines), overseeing the group's companies first in Italy and then in India, Singapore and China, and CEO of Camposol Plc., Peru's largest exporter of non-traditional agricultural products. He has also been General Manager of CHR Hansen Peru, the Danish world leader in natural colours and pharmaceuticals.

He has been Product and Commercial Manager for the Mutual Funds business at Scotiabank (US$ 2.5 billion portfolio) and Investment Strategy Manager for Wealth Management at Scotiabank. Previously he was Head of Investment Analysis at Profuturo AFP and held Investment and Capital Markets positions at AFP Horizonte and the BCRP. He is an Economist from PUCP, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst certification (CFA Institute, USA) and an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business (USA).

He also has extensive experience in supply chain and logistics at national and international level.

Graduate in Food Industry Engineering from UNALM, with technical specialisation in the agronomic management of export table grapes and avocado at Frupac Int. Corp. INC and the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Chile. Over the last 15 years he has taken part in more than 30 due diligence and supervision projects on farming operations for companies such as Agrícola Don Ricardo, Camposol, IQF, AIB, Agrícola Challapampa, Agrícola Milagritos and El Pedregal, among others. He has been a UNCTAD consultant for the Business Linkages Programme with Proinversión, a member of the consultant staff of the Peruvian Exporters Association (ADEX) and a lecturer at ESAN University.

Professional specialised in agribusiness, project management and teaching methodologies for rural extension. Extensive experience as an external evaluator of projects for PNIA, Fondoempleo and CONCYTEC. He leads organisational strengthening projects for smallholder associations, participatory training methodologies, systematisation of experiences, knowledge management and the development of materials for agricultural extension. He has carried out projects for Shared-X, Southern and the World Bank, among others.
